Photoscape is quite handy, I like the mirror effect thing.I now have LR3, CS5 et al but still use irfanview for an overview of my hard drives. There are two really good free photo editors that you have not mentioned - Faststone and Photoscape. I use Faststone for managing all my pics - putting them in folders, naming them, emailing when I want to, basic editing - its crop tools is amazing - total blacken out the surrounds, you can also combine images in a number of different ways, I could go on and on. Photoscape has some amazing filters and 'round' cropping. Also for panoramas - ICE (a microsoft product - Image Composite Editor) is fantastic. The free text is great, I'm not sure I would want the Premium text. But, what bugs me most is that I can't get any good stickers like the sketchy stars and hand drawn hearts.
